Cécile Da Costa
French actress, and choreographic director, living and working in Prague (Farma v Jeskyni and Spitfire ensembles). In Lavauzelle, she leads a workshop in the summer intensive programme 2013 The source and the form : “searching for an expressive body”.

Since 2005 she has been working as a physical actress and singer. She worked for 5 years with Farm in the Cave international theatre studio (Prague, Czech Republic), on the performances SCLAVI/ the Song of an Emigrant, Waiting Room, Divadlo/The Theatre and work demonstrations, under the direction of Viliam Docolomansky and with the choreographic guidance of Charlotta Öfverholm (DV8).
Within Farm in the cave projects, she took part to several research expeditions in Ruthenia (Slovakia), and BrazilNordeste (work on martial art Capoeira, and dances Bumba meu Boi and Cavalo Marinho). The company performed widely in Europe and outside, and was awarded several times, namely inEdinburgh festival.
Cécile is now cooperating with Spitfire Company,Prague, as a choreographer and an actress. She is running workshops of physical theater in Prague and France.
She graduated from the university Saint Denis, Paris XIII in Sciences of Education.
In Lavauzelle, she’s leading a part of the summer intensive session 2013.
