The Site de pratiques théâtrales is settled in the hamlet of La Vauzelle (in the new spelling), between Bourganeuf and Guéret (about 20km in the south of Guéret), in an old farm, typical of the area known as the Creuse masons. The three buildings are spread around an inner yard and a communal path aiming straight in the forest. Some more collapse buildings, and a well, enforce the hypothesis that the hamlet was much more peopled at the beginning of the XXth century.
Around the site, one can enjoy a landscape of woods and meadows, where it is possible to run and work. At a hundred meters stands a protected site Natura 2000, the valley of the Thaurion and its affluents.
The Site is about 5km distant from Janaillat (town hall), Sardent and Pontarion (shops) ; 20 km from Guéret and Bourganeuf ; 40 mn from La Souterraine (train station), 1 hour from Limoges (airport) ; and 4 hours and a half from Paris by car.
BY TRAIN
It is possible to come by train (axis Paris Austerlitz-Limoges/Brive/Toulouse) stoping at La Souterraine (40 km from Lavauzelle). We can organize shuttles for you, as soon as we tune the travels in case of groups. From La Souterraine, you can also take a bus to Guéret (20 mn from LV).
With local coaches, one can also reach Pontarion (7 km from LV) from Limoges
BY CAR
You have to go from Paris in the direction of Orleans – Vierzon – Chateauroux – La Souterraine, and then leave the highway towards Gueret (N145), and in Gueret, aim towards Bourganeuf. In Sardent, follow Janaillat. After 6 km, you’ll reach La Vauzelle.
